30 Days

I am a procrastinator. Always have been, probably always will be. I should list that as a personal goal to try and change. But, I honestly have alot of other "goals" ahead of it all ready. *sigh*

My first and foremost goal since college has always been to lose weight and get in shape. The freshmen 15 turned into the senior 60 and it has been uphill from there. I have been yo-yo'ing ever since.

I got a kick in the pants back in December 2010 to get the weight off because I realized I turn 40 in October 2011. I did Weight Watchers for diet and Gold's for exercise up until May 2011 and had quite a bit of success. Lost 40 pounds and was looking pretty good. But then the boys soccer season took over my life and I feel back to old habits. I have put 20 pounds of that back on.

I have a friend who is finding great success with Precision Nutrition. It is working very very well for him. I looked into it and was going to sign up but the cost was too much for our family right now. $100 down payment plus $100 a month for a year.

I have been reading a blog called Nerd Fitness for a while. Great articles. Great results. I have watched the YouTube videos and really like Steve Kamb. I feel like he really wants to help people get in shape - not just for the profit from his e-books. But because he truly cares. How I get that from a YouTube video, I don't know. But, that's what I think.

This past Saturday, I took all my measurements, weighed myself and took pictures. *UGH* When I went to the grocery store Sunday night, I bought whole foods only. Chicken, veggies and fruits. The boys were scared. LOL! They kept looking in the fridge asking each other why I had bought that food.

One night we had baked sweet potatoes and baked squash. The sweet potatoes I would definitely make again. The squash tasted like dirt. I definitely did something wrong. But, live and learn. I will get this.

I went to Gold's Saturday, Sunday, and twice on Monday. Did cardio and weights - same routines as I always have.

I knew Nerd Fitness had released e-books but I was confused that there were 2 different ones. I had signed up for their Rebellion emails last week. And this morning I got the 3rd mission email and it was explained in that email that there are 2 different guides and the audience that each is geared towards. Steve is asking for 30 days to see if he can make a change in my life.

Steve wants 30 days and there are 30 days to the beach. Coincidence? Ask my kids...I don't believe in coincidence

So the plan is to buy the Rebel Fitness Guide as soon as hubby deposits his paycheck this afternoon. I will journal/blog my 30 days here and we'll see how it goes.
